What is a Psychoeducational Assessment?

A psychoeducational assessment facilitates the evaluation of a child’s learning ability based on a number of psychological tests specific to the education and learning. Depending on the specific child needs, it may include the assessment of the following areas:

  • Processing Speed
  • Executive Functions
  • Attention
  • Social Skills
  • Adaptive Ability

A psychoeducational assessment report is designed to answer the following questions:

  • What are the student’s strengths, and weaknesses?
  • What are some recommendations to support the student to achieve their academic goals?
